My friend keeps trying to report something very important and norwich police won't talk to her. She has been there twice without any help. Very sad
I haven't ever had a problem personally with the police force of Norwich, from what I've witnessed/ heard they do a great job at what they do, and that is protecting and serving there community. However , I've heard stories and did experience it myself recently, in regards to the professional mannerisms displayed by dispatch. I called, and spoke calmly with necessary details available. Multiple times I was cut off, yelled at , and talked over by woman working dispatch. I remained composed and was extra polite with woman in dispatch, and she eventually turned her attitude around. There are going to be others that call in and aren't calm, and I do believe that the dispatch needs to be more understanding to those who call in, especially to those who call in who are a nervous wreck. Please Norwich dispatch, all I ask is you speak more kindly and have some empathy to those who call in. That's all I ask, because there will be someone who calls in to report something very essential , and if they are yelled at like I was recently, they will not feel safe and or cared about like they should feel. You are the voice we hear and talk to, please represent the City of Norwich and the Norwich Police Department well. They do their job well and make sacrafices , so please show more kindness and understanding, and respect

I have family members that are officers and these people are a complete disgrace to the badge. They spend more time harassing children than doing anything to stop the drug epidemic in downtown that conveniently gets ignored for the sake of urban development. As long as the drug addicts aren't near the new fancy bars it's apparently a non-issue and the rest of the people can deal with it in silence. Two squad cars for some kid riding his big wheel in front of art space? Why not focus on the people selling crack IN art space? I seen people fighting and the police drove by... Are they too much of cowards to deal with grown men and that's why they focus on children? I truly don't understand.
They do their job ! And have actully been parking on side roads like Canterbury tpk to catch speeders !! Finally !!
