I am not sure about how everyone else felt but this place needs to earn its stars.

Prime 82 Restaurant Bar & Grill in Norwich was easy to find. It was the first time I had ever been there. Once inside, the ambiance was cozy and dimly lit and the decor was sweet and festive; unlike the glass entrance, which could use a good makeover. (You never get a second chance to make a first impression)
Dinner was delicious. The seafood bruschetta was amazing and the Delmonico was cooked perfectly Pittsburgh (the chef even knew what that was). They even personalized the desert plate for my friend's 50th birthday.. surprisingly delicious. A bit loud if you are looking for a quiet romantic spot, this ain't it.. but if you can tolerate the bar noise the food is really worth the accommodation.
The food and the service were unacceptable. I ordered the New England clam chowder and stuffed mushrooms. The chowder looked great but had an awkward taste to it. It tasted like when food is in a cooler for a long period of time. I told the waitress but she never inquired if I wanted it to pick something else, nor did she seem concerned. My order of stuff mushrooms was given to someone else and after a bit, I reminded the waitress that I was still waiting for my mushrooms. She never apologized for the mistake and when they finally arrived, they had the same taste as the chowder. The taste was not as potent but I could still taste it.
Food was incredible.. atmosphere is kind of sports barish and the furnishings need updating but the meal was amazing.
Service was horrible.. the moment we walked in the door till the end when we left... waited 10min for server to even come see if we wanted drinks, when we ordered an ice tea and black label on rocks took another 15min to arrive. And this was not their busy time. They were slow... food was missing main parts of the dish .. then the waitress argued that they make it different. If my wife orders a pasta dish -it should have pasta as stated on the menu... food had no flavor... waited a long time for server for various items. The booths also had what looked like 10years of dust on them. We will never go here again...... stay away... at this point you will have a better experience at the gas station across the street than you would at this place.
